COVID-19 Protections Extended, Including Foreclosure Moratorium for FHA Mortgages
As discussed in more detail in other blogs posted on the Treinen Law Office website, the federal government, the New Mexico state government and some creditors continue to offer consumers protections in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These protections include relief plans such as forbearance or loan modifications, as well as eviction and foreclosure moratoriums. Today (February 23, 2021), FHA announced that the foreclosure moratorium, and other protections, will be extended for FHA mortgages.
The announcement is available here.
If you need help figuring out what protections you may qualify for, Treinen Law Office is here to help. We have decided to do so at no charge for New Mexicans, as our way of giving back. Please do not hesitate to call us.
